Friday was day five of our annual Food-A-Bago food drive for Broome County CHOW to help families in need over the holidays, and it was a busy day in the parking lot of the Weis Food Market, 1290 Upper Front Street, Binghamton.

Townsquare Binghamton radio personalities barely had time to take a break, and that's a good thing! CHOW brought us their newest and largest truck to fill with non-perishable foods, and as of the end of the day on Friday, our community had filled six bins with non-perishable food.

And believe me, those bins can hold a lot of food! Take a look at the photo below.

Many people and organizations stopped by with food and monetary donations, and we'd like to thank those we got names from - Joe, Robin, Patty, Clark, Linda, Richard, Karen, Russ, Kathy, Bill, George, Suzanne, Cindy, Bob, and several anonymous donors.

Also, thanks to C&D Liquors for a 500-dollar check and to the Blue Brothers Law Enforcement Motor Cycle Club for their truckload of food donations!

But, we have more empty bins to fill over the weekend, and we hope to see you stop by with a non-perishable food item (or many) or a monetary donation, no matter how large or small.

If you write a check, please make it out to Music For The Mission. They are a part of the Stanley Law Group which is a partner of  Food-A-Bago, in charge of the monetary portion of our food drive.

We also have CHOW bins located at 21st Century Pools & Spas on the Vestal Parkway, Vestal, and Gary's U Pull-It on Colesville Road, Binghamton, if you can't make it to our location at the Weis Food Market at 1290 Upper Front Street, Binghamton.

We are here on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Monday from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. to finish up. CHOW barrels are set up in front of Oliver's Camper in the parking lot for any drop-offs after hours. See you soon!
