If you are like me, you probably have old, no longer-used electronics that are just taking up space and cobwebs. I get it...every time I walk by these discarded items, I grumble. All my fault for not getting rid of them, of course.

Well, there is always the solution of recycling them, and the Broome County Department of Public Works-Division of Solid Waste Management has just announced that there will be three offsite electronics recycling collections this fall for Broome County residents.

Your first opportunity to eliminate those no longer used items will be this Saturday (October 12th) at Klumpp Park, located at 88 Park Street in Windsor. The next offsite electronics recycling collection will be on Saturday, November 2nd at the Endicott Municipal Lot at 7-9 Madison Avenue, Endicott.

Your last opportunity to bid farewell to those old electronics will be Saturday, November 9th at the Park and Ride Lot at 146 Chenango Bridge Road in Binghamton.

Each offsite recycling event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, and to make it even more convenient, you don't even have to leave your vehicle. Electronics will be removed from your vehicle by Broome County staff.

FYI, these three recycling events are only for Broome County residents, and can only be used for residential disposal. electronics will not be accepted by businesses or out-of-county residents.

So, you may be asking what you can bring to one or more of these events to be recycled. Here is what the Broome County Department of Public Works-Division of Solid Waste Management has to say about that:
