In the past, on social media sites, I've asked Southern Tier New York and Northern Tier Pennsylvania residents where they go for their favorite diner, restaurant. Also, the place to go for pizza, wings, burgers, and other popular food items in the area.

Well, there's one thing I haven't asked until now - Where in the Southern Tier of NY or NE PA, is your definition of the Coziest Cafe/Bookstore? A place you go to relax, have a coffee, a light snack, maybe do some reading, work remotely for an hour, or maybe do homework.

Funny thing is, I don't drink coffee, but everyone else in my life does, so it must be a popular thing. My taste buds just don't get it.

Anyway, there are probably a lot more offerings of this type in and around the Greater Binghamton area. Of the responses, Curious Grounds in Conklin, Cup O Joe in Endicott, Carol's in Owego, and Butterfield's in Deposit had the most responses. Here are some of the responses I received:

  • Cindy C. - The Coffee Bar at Old Barn Market.
  • Shelly S. - Solid Ground Coffee Cafe in the Town of Maine. Definitely the coziest vibe.
  • Alexei P. - Curious Grounds spooky coffee shop and bookstore! The vibes are so cozy!
  • Spyke L. - Roasted in Owego. I wish there were more in NEPA!
  • Alayne M. - Spellbound in Owego. Best of both worlds.
  • Patricia B. - Butterfield's Cafe in Deposit!
  • Jamie T. Cup O Jo Cafe on Odell Avenue in Endwell.
  • Lillian A. - Carol's in Owego is quite nice!
  • Dale S. - Barney’s.
  • Terrence M. - North Blendz on the corner of Washington Avenue and North Street in Endicott, New York. It serves coffee, juice, and smoothies. I like to support local businesses.
  • Tre B. - The Library on Court Street.
  • Laurie A. - Paula's.
  • Kaylee M. - Sole City Cafe.
  • Raychel B - Cup-A-Jo on Upper Front Street, Binghamton.
