Binghamton Schools Largest Ever Backpack And School Supply Giveaway
For the seventh year, the annual backpack and school supply program is back in Binghamton. This year will be the largest backpack and school supply program according to Binghamton Mayor Jared Kraham, CARES Advocates For Families Incorporated and other community partners, organizing the event.
1,100 backpacks filled with school supplies are being offered to Binghamton students, funded by the City of Binghamton, and a combination of the Community Development Block Grant and general fund youth programming dollars.
Binghamton’s young people deserve every opportunity to thrive at school and succeed well beyond graduation. That starts with making sure every child has the basic supplies needed to learn and grow. This is our seventh year partnering with CARES on a backpack and school supply program, and our biggest one yet. We’re committed to investing in our young people and the future of our City. - Binghamton Mayor Kraham
