Your Ultimate Flight Plan To Orlando From Upstate New York
My wife and I have been reliving our youth by visiting the Mouse House in Florida over the past year, and have plans to do so at least one more time before we are too old to try to hike 20,000 steps in a day, which comes out to about a 10 mile walk, and in hot weather no less!
Most of our plans are in place for 2025, and we were waiting for Avelo to release its winter schedule. But when it did, as you know, the airline pulled out of the Binghamton airport. Oops! What to do now?

As much as I'd like to drive to Florida, I don't have the time to do so. Gotta fly, so that's why I turned to our social media friends for advice. What might be a good option for getting to ORL by flight from BInghamton or close by?
The suggestions were varied as I might have expected since there are both local options along with airports within a 70-mile or less drive from the Binghamton area, along with some further out.
For suggestions of airports either locally or within a 60 to 90 minutes drive, here's what those who responded, said (weeding out the "who wants to go to Florida" comments) in order of least mentions to most:
#8 - Philadelphia, PA
#7 - Newburg, NY
# 6 - Newark, NJ
#5 - Binghamton - Delta
#4 - Albany - Jet Blue & Southwest
#3 - Scranton/Wilkes-Berre - Spirit, Jet Blue, Frontier, United
#2 - Syracuse - Jet Blue, Allegiant, United
#1 - Elmira/Corning - Allegiant
Here's a sampling of suggestions, and thanks to those who commented:
Connie D. - Jet Blue out of Syracuse. Way more comfortable than Allegiant. Breeze has a new direct flight from Scranton.
