Police are trying to track down the knife-wielding man who got away with cash and cigarettes in a robbery at a convenience store north of Endicott.

The Broome County Sheriff's Office Friday afternoon provided surveillance images from cameras at the Speedway store on Union Center Maine Highway in West Corners. The robbery was reported around 2:45 a.m.

Investigators said the suspect was a white man; 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall; wearing black pants, black shoes and a black hooded sweatshirt with a white stripe on each sleeve.

The man wandered around the store for a few minutes before displaying a knife to the cashier and demanding money from the register.

The robber ran south from the store. He was last seen on Union Center Maine Highway heading toward Endicott.
