Investigation Unveils Weapons And Drugs In Johnson City New York
According to a release from the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force, a search warrant was executed with assistance from the Metro SWAT Team on December 3, 2024, on a residence at 26 Albert Street in Johnson City.
Investigators recovered several items including:
- A loaded Taurus 9mm handgun that was illegally possessed
- A loaded Sig Sauer .40 caliber handgun that was illegally possessed
- Ammunition and multiple hi-capacity magazines
- Approximately 12.7 grams of Methamphetamine/MDMA
- Approximately 23.9 grams of Cocaine
- Approximately 23.6 grams of Fentanyl
- Digital Scales and Packaging materials are commonly used in the sale and distribution of narcotics

As a result, The Johnson City Police Department charged Ladwaun Hamilton and Desean October, both from the Village of Johnson City with:
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd- Class C Felony (2 Counts)
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree- Class D Felony (7 Counts)
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree- Class B Felony (6 Counts)
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree- Class A Misdemeanor (2 Counts)
Hamilton and October were processed at the Johnson City Police Department and transported to Central Arraignment.
The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force comprises members of the Broome County Sheriff’s Office, Binghamton Police Department, and the Johnson City Police Department.
