Three people are facing charges after New York State Police stopped a vehicle for speeding on State Route 23 in the Town of Davenport April 30.

Troopers say 58 year old Gasper Ciraolo of Bainbridge was driving the car that was also occupied by Sidney residents: 22 year old Ashley Nistad and 18 year old Colin Stanton.

Authorities say they found heroin, prescription pills and a switch blade knife in the vehicle.

Ciraolo is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon and traffic violations.

Nistad and Stanton are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

All three have been ordered to appear in Town of Davenport Court later this month.
