Officials are investigating the cause of a second fire within the last year at a Susquehanna County landmark.

The Brackney Inn was expected to finally reopen in just a few weeks after being destroyed by fire in late October of 2017, but those dreams were dashed when a fire tore through the 150-year-old inn again at around 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 16th.

The blaze reportedly began outside on a back corner of the building and officials said, this time, the structure may be a total loss.

The owner told reporters, at this point, it's not clear what lies ahead.
