Police confiscated 504 bags heroin and methamphetamine when a search warrant was executed on Binghamton's West Side.

Authorities say 36-year-old David Scanlin of 62 North Street was charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

In addition to the drugs, police seized more than $18,000 in cash found when they searched Scanlin's apartment.

Scanlin was wanted on an arrest warrant issued in Binghamton for felony criminal mischief. He also had been sought on a parole warrant.
