Sheriff’s officials along with the New York State Police and Margaretville Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested 21-year-old Devyn Clum of Bloomville, October 26, on a violent felony arson charge as well as a felony arson count.

Authorities accuse Clum of intentionally setting fire to a vacant building near his home on County Highway 33 on Halloween night three years ago that spread to a neighboring occupied home.

Further investigation is also resulting in Clum being charged with burglary and petit larceny for allegedly breaking into a seasonal residence on Sunrise Mountain Road this summer and stealing power tools.  Several of those tools were recovered upon Clum’s arrest.

New York State Police additionally charge Clum with arson for another fire on Halloween night, 2012 involving a building on State Highway 10 in Bloomville.

Adding to the list, the State Police say they’ve charged Clum with burglary in connection with a break-in at another seasonal residence on County Highway 33 in Bloomville in 2014.

Clum was sent to the Delaware County Jail on $75,000 dollars bail.
