It's the biggest weekend of the year in Cooperstown.  this weekend is the National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Weekend.  Thousands of baseball fans flock to Cooperstown every summer for the ceremonies.  This year Craig Biggio, Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez and John Smoltz will officially enter baseball's shrine.

The Induction Ceremonies are held at the Clark Sports Center and begin on July 26 at 1:30 p.m..  The four new inductees will bring the total members to 310.

Biggio starred for 20 seasons with the Houston Astros where he collected 3,060 hits and scored 1,844 runs.  John Smoltz played 21 seasons in the Big Leagues and pitched in 723 games...all but 30 of them for the Atlanta Braves.  He ended his career with 213 victories.

Fireballer Randy Johnson played for 22 seasons and won a total of 303 games.  He finished with a lifetime ERA of 3.29.  He spent much of his career pitching with Seattle and Arizona.  Pedro Martinez won 219 games over his Major League career.  117 of those victories came with the Boston Red Sox.

Fans will be able to hear comments from the ceremonies Monday morning with Roger Neel and First News on WNBF.  Admission for the Hall of Fame Inductions is free.  The festivities begin July 24.  53 Hall of Fame members are expected to return to Cooperstown this weekend.
