Hale Eddy Couple Accused of Dealing Huge Amount of Heroin

Two Delaware County residents are accused of dealing heroin from a house in the Town of Deposit.

Deputies raided the home in Hale Eddy February 10 and seized 8 grams of heroin, marijuana, Oxycontin, cash, a shotgun, drug packaging material and a kung-fu throwing star.

Two children were in the home when 30 year old Scott Hanrahan and 38 year old Shalayne Sherwood were arrested by Delaware County Sheriff’s officials.

Both are charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance as well as misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The children were turned over to a relative.

Hanrahan and Sherwood were sent to the Delaware County Jail on $250,000 bail.
