The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Forecast event is giving some mixed signals about the local business climate.

Vice President and Regional Economist for M&T Bank, Gary Keith told the group’s annual gathering the Binghamton economy showed signs of progress with gains in employment and Gross Domestic Product but there is still a number of people and businesses that have left the area and New York State to look for other opportunities.

Keith says, however, non-industrial employment has risen to an all-time high for the Binghamton Metro area with growth in transportation, health care and education.

The 2020 Building BC Innovative Award was given to TeleHealth365, which provides healthcare to under-served communities with access to low-cost medical professionals.

The 2020 Restorative Award went to the ANSCO Camera Factory, which was transformed by Paulus Development into loft apartments and commercial space.

50 Front Luxury Apartments on Front Street, developed by Newman Development Group received the Transformative Award for the new construction.

The Individual Award was given to Jordan Patch, the owner of Animal Adventure Park attraction in Harpursville.
