Let's begin with an update. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday were great days for donations to the 24th annual Food-A-Bago Food Drive for Broome County CHOW. But we need more. Can we get your help this weekend to fill the CHOW truck with food that will assist families in our community this holiday season?

More large bins were filled each day in the CHOW truck with non-perishable food to help fill the shelves of the Broome County CHOW warehouse. All food stays local and assists families in need in our community. Thank you to the many people who have stopped by over the first four days to drop off food and monetary donations!

For those who are pressed for time or just prefer, we accept a monetary donation. Cash or check is fine. If it is a check, please make it out to our sponsor - Music For The Mission. They in turn will present one large check to Broome County CHOW. You can also pay through PayPal. To do so, click HERE.

What type of foods does Broome County CHOW need? Think of a meal that would feed a family of four. Some items include boxed and canned pasta, cereals, tuna, canned vegetables, flour, sugar, ramen noodles, canned fruits, fruit cups in plastic containers, baby food, and diapers.

Other items include toothpaste, toothbrushes, crackers, spaghetti and sauce, condiments, dry and evaporated milk. We have a list that you can look over here in the Oliver's Camper that lists foods needed from the Fruit & Vegetable group, Grain group, Protein group, Milk group, Infants & Toddlers group, and General group.

Where are we? The parking lot of the Weis Food Market, 1290 Upper Front Street, Binghamton. We are easy to spot with the Oliver's Camper and a large Broome County CHOW truck right next to us.

Glenn Pitcher from 98.1 The Hawk, Bod Joseph from WNBF, and I (Don Morgan - 99.1 The Whale & WNBF) are taking turns at our Food-A-Bago location on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., finishing up on Monday Movember 4th at 10 a.m.

You can also drop off non-perishable food donations at 21st Century Pools and Spas on the Vestal Parkway, Vestal, and after hours, we have CHOW barrels in front of the Oliver's of Norwich & Syracuse Camper.

We thank our sponsors, Music For The Mission, 21sat Century Pools & Spas, and Raptor Pack Contracting. Check out the 2024 Food-A-Bago progress through the photos below, and we hope to see you soon!
