Fire at Marv's Auto Service Center in Great Bend

Firefighters from Susquehanna and Broome County were called to the scene of a multi-alarm fire in Susquehanna County, just south of the New York State line at around 9:25 a.m. May 12.

The blaze at Marv's Auto Service Center on Route 11 between Orchard Avenue and the New York State line in Great Bend reportedly could be seen for miles.

Within minutes, motorists on Route 81 were calling authorities about the fire and the building was said to be fully engulfed in flames.

Traffic was being detoured around the fire scene on Route 11.
