Fire Destroys Maple Vendor

Investigators are looking into the cause of a blaze July 18 that destroyed a maple syrup vendor in Chenango County.

Firefighters from Pharsalia, Norwich, Cincinnatus, Oxford, South Otselic and McDonough all responded to Maple Hills Farm on County Route 10 in Pharsalia at around 2:40 p.m.

When fire crews arrived at the scene, thick black smoke could be seen billowing from the main structure,

There were no reports of injuries. The building was destroyed.
