Binghamton firefighters extinguished a blaze in a two-story house on the West Side of the city.

The fire in the two-family residence at 4 Thorp Street was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police officers reported smoke coming from the building when they arrived at the scene.

The blaze appeared to have been confined to the second floor near the front of the wood frame house. The building is located just southwest of the Walnut Street Park.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
