Officials say the fire at the rectory of the Christian Fellowship Church on River Street was reported at 5:53 p.m.  The fire was put out quickly and there were no injuries but the family living at the house was said to have been displaced temporarily.

Fire crews from Lisle, Whitney Point and Killawog responded and reported having the blaze knocked down in less than a half hour.

The fire appears to have originated in the kitchen area.
