The City of Binghamton is waiving fees at its pools through July 21 and the Columbus Park spray pad hours will be extended to 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through the weekend to help residents beat the heat.

Normally the City charges 25-cents for children and 50-cents for adults for a day at the Northside, South Side or West Side pools.  The pools at Fairview Park and MacArthur Park are always free.

City pools are open daily from 12:30 p.m.- 7:45 p.m.

Endicott Mayor John Bertoni says swimming is also free at George F. Johnson Memorial Park during normal pool hours through July 21.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced pools at State Parks are being kept open longer during the hot spell.

The extended hours apply to more than 30 parks statewide through July 21.
