The Broome County Sheriff's Office has released its latest arrests and charges report for February 2025.

As a reminder, this report doesn't encompass all law enforcement activity performed by the Broome County Sheriff’s Office daily, arrests made in Broome County by other law enforcement agencies, or open and ongoing investigations by the Broome County Sheriff’s Office, the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force or other law enforcement agencies.

Every accused person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Harassment

Joshua Houghtaylen from Endicott was charged with Harassment in the 2nd Degree and Disorderly Conduct, Violations, following an investigation into a domestic dispute in the town of Union.

Collin Thomas from Binghamton was charged with Harassment in the 2nd Degree, a violation, following an investigation into a disturbance in the town of Conklin.

John Short from Lisle was charged with Aggravated Harassment in the 2nd Degree following a harassment investigation in the town of Triangle.

Criminal Contempt

Dustin Parmalee of Binghamton was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree following an investigation into an order of protection violation in the Town of Chenango.

Deepak Tambe from the Town of Chenango, was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree following an investigation into an order of protection violation.

Jaimie Baraby was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree following an investigation into an order of protection violation in the town of Windsor.

Criminal Possession

Dameon Taylor of Endicott was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to sell in the 5th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, and Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree following a traffic stop in Binghamton.

Steven Wormuth from the town of Dickinson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree following a warrant execution in the town of Dickinson.

Robert McKnight, Jr. from Endicott was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest following a traffic stop in Binghamton.

Burglary

Jonathan Vanostrand of Maine (New York) was charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, and Aggravated Harassment in the 2nd Degree, following a burglary investigation in the town of Maine.

Criminal Trespass

Robert White was charged with criminal trespassing, a violation that followed an investigation into trespassing in the town of Maine.

Bruce Houseknecht was charged with criminal trespassing, a violation that followed an investigation into trespassing in the town of Maine.

Petit Larceny

Trent Barnett, Jr. from Johnson City was charged with Petit Larceny following a larceny investigation in the town of Union.

Criminal Mischief

Michael Hartwell of Whitney Point was charged with Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree following an investigation into a dispute in the town of Chenango.
