Fatal Crash in Deposit

A dump truck driver from Sidney is dead following a crash Friday morning on Quarry Access Road in the Town of Deposit.

New York State Police say 66-year-old William Barse was hauling stone from a quarry when the truck went off the road and overturned.

State Police say Barse...who was ejected from the truck...died at the scene.  An autopsy was scheduled at Lourdes Hospital.

Officials say the truck was registered to SLLC Inc. of Deposit.
