Officials say a home that burned in Triangle December 15 was unoccupied as the owners were moving to another property but they lost everything in the fire.

The fire on South Street was reported at around 3:15 a.m. and drew firefighters from at least five departments.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

Firefighters were vigilant throughout the day looking for areas where the fire might flare back up but the house burned to the ground in the two alarm blaze.
