Dozens of Tioga County residents of all walks of life are going to pretend they are really sick or about to become very ill.

An Emergency Preparedness Drill is being held today to test how effectively the County can respond to a situation like dozens of residents believed to be exposed to Hepatitis A. The scenario lays out residents consuming produce purchased from the county’s largest grocery store between April 12 and 23 and in need of emergency vaccinations.

The Public Health Department says it wants residents to walk through the simulated clinic to receive a fake Hepatitis A vaccination.  Officials say they want representatives from all parts of the community including senior citizens, children, pregnant women and people with disabilities.

The Point of Dispensing exercise is being held from 11 a-m to 1 p-m at the Valley United Presbyterian Church in Waverly.
