Enrichment Activities Planned for Ross Park Zoo Animals

Binghamton’s zoo is hosting a plate date September 14-15 for some of its residents.

Ross Park Zoo is holding Enrichment Weekend from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring talks by zoo keepers while the animals get to explore new toys and other items in their environments.

Keeper Talks are scheduled at 11 a.m. at the goat exhibit, noon with the spotted-necked otter, 1:30 p.m. at the Arctic foxes and 3 p.m. at the black-and-white-ruffed lemurs.

Guests can even bring an enrichment item to donate to the animals.  A list of items can be found at www.rossparkzoo.com/enrichment.
