Endwell Detour In Place As Bridge Work Starts
A bridge rehabilitation project has gotten underway in the town of Union.
Thousands of motorists who usually use the Hooper Road bridge over East Main Street will be utilizing alternate routes for the next few weeks.
Work on the project began this morning. Broome County officials say they expect the job to be completed by September 23.
The bridge was built more than four decades ago.
Drivers are using detour routes that include Watson Boulevard, Harry L Drive, Route 17C and Route 201.
