Village officials say they expect “significant savings” for residents by having demolition and construction debris hauled to the Broome County Landfill instead.

Endicott Mayor Linda Jackson says there have been issues in the past with commercial projects instead of smaller residential remodelers using the Town of Union site with large amounts of debris being dumped.

Normal drop off hours at the county dump are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. A tipping fee is charged based on the weight of material dumped.

A list of free drop off days is available by calling (607) 763-4450.

The Village says it will use money saved on the service to offset the cost of recycling.
