The first of nine suspected members of a drug gang in the Binghamton area, known as the ‘Eddie Block Gang’ is admitting he was dealing in heroin.

21 year old John Abbadessa pleaded guilty March 2 to drug trafficking conspiracy after he sold drugs at least four times to an undercover officer.

Abbadessa implicated other gang members whom he said built a heroin trade based on the west side of Binghamton.

He’s to be sentenced in June and could spend up to ten years to life in federal prison.  Officials say the gang dealt heroin in the region for years.

Abbadessa was arrested, along with other gang members, in a raid in November.

Abbadessa was sent back to the Tioga County Jail, where he has been held since being arrested
