DWI Charged After Vehicle Winds Up Stuck in Snow

A Deposit man was accused of drunken driving after a vehicle drifted off a Route 17 exit ramp and became stuck in the snow.

Authorities say 53-year-old William Barnhart was arrested early today.

According to state police, a trooper was dispatched to Exit 84 following a 911 call reporting a disabled vehicle.

Barnhart was charged with driving while intoxicated. His blood alcohol content was reported to be 0.17 percent.

Barnhart was ordered to appear in Deposit town court on February 23.
