Drugs Seized in Motel Parking Lot Traffic Stop

A Town of Virgil man and a Cortland woman are facing charges following a traffic stop at the Cortland Motel parking lot on Route 11.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they stopped 30 year old Nicholas Partis and found he was driving without a license and was in possession of drug paraphernalia.  24 year old Stephanie Wiers, who lists the motel has her address, was found to have methamphetamine, several packets of heroin and hypodermic needles in her possession.

Partis was released after being ticketed for driving without a license, criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument, unsafe tires and no front license plate.

Wiers is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and sent to the Cortland County Jail.
