A Susquehanna County man was arrested following a pickup truck crash in the town of Conklin.

Authorities say 43-year-old David Tompkins of Hallstead was charged with driving while intoxicated after Monday evening's crash on Gratsinger Road.

Investigators say a 2000 Ford truck driven by Tompkins went off the roadway and came to rest on its side in a culvert.

Police say Tompkins had left the scene of the crash but he returned while a deputy was investigating.

Tompkins is said to have been in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

In addition to DWI, Tompkins was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and moving from a lane unsafely.

Tompkins was issued an appearance ticket for Conklin town court.
