Downstate Man Accused of Giving Drugs to Vestal School Kids

A downstate man is accused of supplying school kids in Vestal with drugs.

Vestal Police say 23-year-old Jake Soriano of Middle Island in Suffolk County is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child. He’s also charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of marijuana.

Authorities say they received information from the Vestal School Resource Officers that, on several occasions, several juveniles had been supplied narcotics from a single suspect.

Police say that investigation led to a vehicle stop of Soriano that resulted in the seizure of narcotics.
