Deposit Man Killed in Car-Tractor Trailer Crash

New York state police are investigating a fatal crash on route 27 near Deposit overnight October 11th.

The crash near the Delaware County line between Deposit and Hancock involved a car and tractor trailer.

Troopers say Robert Stanton of Deposit attempted to change lanes around 11 p.m. when the driver's side of his car was impacted by the tractor trailer.

Stanton was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

The highway was closed in both directions for over nine hours.
