Governor Andrew Cuomo says businesses in New York state can prevent people from entering if they aren't wearing a mask or face covering.

Cuomo Thursday announced he was signing an executive order that will allow store owners to bar those who choose not to cover their face.

The governor last month issued an order requiring everyone over two years old to cover their mouth and nose with a mask or face covering to reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus.

That directive was aimed at people in public spaces where proper distancing was not possible.

Cuomo said while people have a right to jeopardize their own health, they don't have the right to jeopardize the health of others.
