COVID Case Reported at Port Dickinson Elementary

Chenango Valley Central Schools is reporting a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the district.

Superintendent Doctor David Gill issued a statement to families September 21 saying the district was notified of the case at the Port Dickinson Elementary School.   

C.V. says due to privacy laws, information regarding the person’s identity cannot be released. 

As with a case identified in the Vestal School District, C.V. officials say they are working in consultation with the Broome County Health Department on proper procedures regarding quarantining and testing. 

The Health Department is working with the district on contact tracing and will give directions to those affected on the quarantine processes.
