COVID Case Counts Continue Climb in Twin Tiers
Broome County is reporting 177 new cases of COVID-19 with almost 12-hundred active cases and 77 people hospitalized.
Monday, December 6 officials in Broome reported three additional deaths linked to the pandemic over the weekend while Delaware and Tioga Counties had each recorded one additional death.
No new information for Tuesday, December 7 was provided for Cortland County, which is updating its dashboard look, Delaware County, which reports on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays or Tioga County. December 6 reports show 105 new cases in Delaware since Friday, December 3, 89 new cases for Cortland County and 15 new cases in Tioga County. Chenango County December 7 had 21 new cases and 284 active cases with eight residents hospitalized.
Cases in the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania continue to take huge weekly jumps. New cases in Bradford County were up by over a third from the number of new cases the week before. The number of new cases in Susquehanna County more than doubled but Wayne County’s infection rate slowed slightly. Susquehanna and Bradford County each reported another death over the week.
