Cortland County Man Charged For Growing Marijuana
The Cortland County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Marathon man following the execution of a search warrant at his residence.
Police say they have arrested 28-year-old Richard Marks for allegedly growing marijuana at his 144 Tim Hill Road home. Police have seized several growing marijuana plants, packaged marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a small caliber rifle from that residence.
Marks has been charged with Felony Criminal Possession of Marijuana along with Misdemeanor counts of Unlawful Growing of Cannabis and Criminal Possession of a weapon.
Marks was arraigned in the Town of Marathon Court and sent to the Cortland County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. Additional charges are pending.
