Cornell Cooperative Extension Offers Course for Women in Farming
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County is looking to help agriculture operations in the area with a course designed especially for farm women.
The program will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursdays from January 23 to Feburary 27 in the Agriculture Development Center at Cornell Cooperative Extension in the Town of Dickinson.
Registration is being accepted for Annie’s Project that teaches management and decision-making skills for farm businesses including culturing communication with business partners, calculating health and other insurance coverage, balancing family living expenses with the farm, reviewing natural resources and marketing opportunities.
The cost for the series, including copies of presentations, access to financial and legal advice and support systems is 75-dollars. Special consideration for a fee waiver is being given to women veterans interested in agriculture.
