Construction Modifies Cortland Medical Center Entrance

Construction at Cortland Medical center will mean different access to the facility through the beginning of November.  

The main entrance at the circle turn around Alvena Avenue at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center is closed with only emergency exit in that area.  That closure was due to go into effect overnight September 23. 

Officials say the emergency department entrance to the hospital will be the main entrance for the medical center through the construction. 

Authorities say security staff have been advised that in the event of a fire or other emergency, barriers at the circle can be removed and the main entrance reopened for emergency personnel access only.
