Authorities say 23-year-old Robert Cebula was arrested shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday.

Cebula was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. According to state police, his blood alcohol content was measured at 0.13 percent.

Investigators say Cebula was arrested after police were advised that a car had smashed a mailbox at 8 Willow Way in the town of Conklin. The vehicle drove off after the incident.

Troopers checked the neighborhood and discovered a car with front and hood damage parked at 12 Willow Way.

Police determined that Cebula had been driving the vehicle around 6 a.m. Sunday. They say the car hit the mailbox and didn't stop. Cebula then is said to have headed home.
