School for Chenango Valley students was delayed two hours this morning after the district reportedly received a threat via an email.

The district sent a letter to student's parents shortly before 10 a.m. this morning to make them aware that a threat had been received and that classes for all of the district's schools would be delayed.

Chenango Valley officials are not releasing the nature of the threat or the contents of the email at this time.

All of the district's properties and building were thoroughly searched by members of law enforcement and classes were resumed.

The district and police will continue to investigate the threat.
