Authorities say Amber Garrison of Smyrna told them she met a truck driver on social media around July 20th and he picked her up in Pennsylvania but held her against her will and repeatedly assaulted her before she convinced him to let her go Saturday with a promise she would not contact authorities.

Tractor trailer driver, James Smith of Mexico, New York is facing several charges, including kidnapping, harassment, domestic assault with a weapon and additional charges may be filed.

Garrison had been reported missing early last month according to New York State Police.
