Charges Added in Deadly I88 Wrong Way Crash

Add vehicular homicide to the list of charges a Harpursville man is under indictment for in connection with a wrong-way crash on Interstate 88 East in Colesville December 28 that left 67 year old Lynn Baciuska of Afton dead.

24 year old David Murrer Junior was indicted for felony aggravated vehicular homicide, felony vehicular manslaughter, felony assault, felony vehicular assault, drunk driving, reckless driving and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher.  Authorities say they measured Murrer’s BAC at .16%, more than twice the legal limit

Both vehicles were traveling on the Interstate when Murrer’s Pontiac Firebird collided with a vehicle driven by 64 year Synthia Baciuska, causing that car to overturn.

The driver’s husband was partially ejected from the car and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Synthia Baciusla suffered serious injuries while Murrer refused treatment for minor injuries
