Broome County Sheriff's Officials say a woman from Castle Creek was injured when her sport utility vehicle flipped on Interstate 88 around 11:30 a.m. March 20 in the Town of Colesville.

Police say Michelle Heath was traveling east on I-88 when she lost control of her vehicle which left the roadway and flipped several times.  Heath was trapped in her vehicle following the accident and had to be extricated by firefighters.

Sheriff's officials say the highway was slippery at the time of the accident and Heath was ticketed for speed not prudent for road conditions.

Heath complained of neck pain and was transported to Wilson Hospital for evaluation. There is no word on the woman's condition.
