Additional business and office tenants are expected to be moving into renovated buildings at the Number 5 Commons development in Binghamton.

The site at the corner of South Washington Street and the Vestal Parkway is anchored by the historic old firehouse that was home to Number 5 restaurant for more than 40 years.

Developer Brett Pritchard said two commercial tenants should be able to locate in a neighboring building on South Washington Street within the next few weeks.

The two-story structure once housed La Tazza coffeehouse. A smoothie and juice bar called Common Soil Juicery will occupy the first floor along with another business.

Three tenants are planning to use office space on the second floor of that building.

Pritchard several prospective tenants are interested in using the first floor of the former firehouse where Number 5 had been located. He's hoping to finalize lease plans for that space soon. It hasn't been determined whether the space on the street level will be used by one or two businesses.

A Mirabito convenience store and a Peoples Security Bank & Trust office opened in a newly-constructed building at the Number 5 Commons last September.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
