Burglary Charge Added to Man Accused of Shooting BB Gun at Endicott Police
Endicott Police say a Village man who was accused of shooting a BB gun in the direction of two Detectives January 28 is now also accused of stealing an automatic teller machine and dumping the ATM in the Susquehanna River.
47-year-old Angel Rohena was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment in the incident at 1:15 p.m. January 28 on Duane Avenue and authorities recovered a defaced Rugar Carbine rifle from Rohena's Duane Avenue home.
February 1, Rohena was also charged with felony burglary in connection with a burglary at around 11:40 p.m. January 27 at the Upper Cuts Barbershop on West Main Street in the Village.
Detectives say during the burglary, Rohena is accused of entering the business and stealing the ATM containing an undisclosed amount of cash. Some of the money was found during a search of his home.
The New York State Police Dive Team was able to fish the ATM out of the Susquehanna in the Town of Union.
