Binghamton University's softball team opens the season February13 in Statesboro, Georgia with a noon game against Boston College. The Bearcats are scheduled to play five games in three days over the weekend there.

Other opponents include host Georgia Southern, Campbell, Boston College (second game) and Tennessee Tech. The Bearcats will play 14 straight non-conference away  games before facing Hartford in an America East opening doubleheader on March 21 at Hartford. Binghamton will host UMass Lowell on March 28 in a twinbill to open the home slate.

Last season Michelle Burrell's squad finished 22-25.  The Bearcats return six position players and two pitchers from that team including outfielder Sydney Harbaugh who earned America East Player of the Year honors last year.  She is joined by infielder Lisa Cadogan, another first team all-conference selection.
