Broome SIU Finds Meth, Heroin and Counterfeit Money in Binghamton
The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task force says it has confiscated methamphetamine, heroin and fake money in a raid in the City of Binghamton.
Authorities November 16 arrested 41-year-old Mary Moriarty and 27-year old Devon Carty in the search of a Mill Street apartment.
Police say they found over an ounce of methamphetamine, some loose heroin, 9 bags of heroin, several counterfeit $20 dollar bills, drug packaging materials and about a half ounce of marijuana in Moriarty’s home.
She’s charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felony criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2 misdemeanor counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of marijuana.
Carty is charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and a violation count of unlawful possession of marijuana.
Both were sent to the Broome County Jail.
