County Executive says “The days of selling properties at auction that really should be demolished are over.”  The Democrat says the county is working with the municipalities to sell the lots for demolition so neighborhoods can move forward.

The properties are 4 Amsbry St., 56 Holland St, 19 Franklin St., 26 Lyons St., 164 Murray St., 5 Crandall St., 86 Pine St., 13 Vine St and 15 Delavan Ave.

Broome is selling 11 vacant lots to the City for $1 each.

The properties being sold to the Broome Landbank are 1223 Vestal Ave., 21 Milford St., 32 Hayes St., 3 King Ave. ad 76 Park Ave.

In addition, the county is selling a lot to 203 Court Street LLC which is located on Fayette Street next to the Binghamton Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic.  The building at 40 Fayette St. will be demolished by the owner to make way for parking for veterans visiting the VA clinic.
