Libraries in Broome County will benefit from some funding being made available by New York State.

Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo says about $88,000 has been approved for local libraries under a construction grant program.

The George F. Johnson Memorial Library in Endicott will receive nearly $40,000 for an energy efficiency project. Two rooftop heating and cooling units are to be replaced with newer equipment.

The Four County Library System has been allocated about $36,000 to replace outmoded automation servers and to renovate the server room.

Your Home Public Library in Johnson City is to receive nearly $13,000 to replace a roof that covers the front porch and sun parlor areas of the Main Street building.
